The end result is a more flexible system that is usually less expensive than conventional kits.</FONT></P></DT> <DT><FONT SIZE="+1" FACE="Times"> </FONT></DT> <DT><FONT SIZE="+1" FACE="Times">In the Sundance Supply approach, the frame is constructed from a locally available material chosen by the individual builder. This is typically dimensional lumber. The frame is covered with double or triple-skin polycarbonate sheet and held in place with the trim components. Polycarbonate is a light weight, translucent plastic sheet. This glazing product is available in 4 ft. and 6 ft. widths and in lengths from 4 ft. to 36 ft. Thicknesses are 6mm (1/4") and 8mm (5/16") double-skin and 16mm (5/8"). </FONT></DT> <DT><FONT SIZE="+1" FACE="Times"> </FONT></DT> <DT><FONT SIZE="+1" FACE="Times">Bob Daley, Sundance's founder, says that the sheet is similar to insulated glass in R-Value and is well suited to horticultural applications. Polycarbonate is available in clear, for maximum light transmission. White and bronze colored polycarbonate is available for applications that require reduced light transmission and heat gain. The sheet comes with a 10 year warranty not to yellow or be affected by hail stones.
