Shade Panel Fabrication Specs:
- Polypropylene shade cloth fabric lasts 12-15 years.
- Reinforcing Tape strengthens panel and eliminates weave unravel.
- Tape of solid polypropylene fabric wraps 1-3/8" around each edge.
- Grommets, with 5/16" inside dimension, set about 3/4" from panel edge.
- One Grommet set at corner point.
- Next Grommet about 3" from corner.
- Remaining Grommets spaced about every 1 or 2 feet, on all 4 sides.
- Fabrication Tolerance: plus-or-minus 1 inch.
- Double needle chain stitch above & below Grommets, the length of the panel, on all 4 sides, offers Superior Strength and Panel Longevity.
- Thread is also made of polypropylene.
- Panels are a mixture of standard size widths sewn together to create panel size.
- Panel Seams are bridged with 5/8" solid fabric, double needle chain stitch. Place seam-up in most applications, down if support cable is at that point.
- Stretch: Woven shade cloth has minimal stretching. 63% and higher are the most durable weaves.
