Covers often require 5 long sheets to cover area of 20' x 20' Crating and shipping of (5) 4 ft. x 20 ft. sheets is expensive. One may buy 10 ft. sheets and overlap them.
-
Lay lower sheet on rafter, screw to frame at lower edge and in a few areas in body of sheet (see Position & Attach). Prior to laying top sheet raise rafter height with piece of wood, about same thickness as the polycarbonate, Overlapping Polycarb. Now lap top sheet (overlapping bottom sheet) and fasten to frame. Complete install by fitting U-Profile on sheet, attaching Cap and silicone overlap. Move on to the next sheet, repeat procedure and continue on.
-
Refer to Polycarb, Trim & Flashing Install. Take note of all items that apply to your application. These pages cover installation of Cap & Trim System, see Design & Install Intro. Overlapping of polycarbonate not appropriate with Base & Cap System.
-
Completing all tasks as one moves through the process eliminates the need to go back after all sheets are laid, when access is much more difficult.
