- Polycarbonate Install
Components: Please note that no quality greenhouse, sunroom or
skylight mfg. offers polycarbonate install components. Unlike the
polycarbonate sheet, these items are not properly designed to
protect against UV. No warranty is extended. These items will
yellow and get brittle. Polycarbonate install components
are
fraught with
problems. Avoid if possible.

H-Profile

- Use only in cases
where the sheet joining connector piece must be clear.

- H-Profile Constraints:
- Roof purlins or wall
girts must be placed 2 ft. or less on-center.

H-Profile offers minimal
structural strength.
- If installing over
rafters of studs much easier to use Cap
& Trim System.

- Drawbacks of Polycarbonate
H-Profile:
- Often difficult to
slide poly sheet into "H". Do Not use on arch roofs.

Sliding sheet into
H-Profile on arched roof will be a nightmare.
- Less durable and less
attractive than our aluminum systems.
- Not as watertight as
aluminum. Especially over time as sun effects plastic.
- Service life much less
than the polycarbonate sheet. "H" will yellow.

on-center for 48" sheet, 73" on-center for 72" sheet.

- Vent tape required to

- Falling snow & ice
will pull off roof sheets, even with attachment

attractive than our aluminum systems.
- Not as watertight as
aluminum. Especially over time as sun effects plastic.

Water will enter cell and
start to move up the sheet.
- Service life much less
than the polycarbonate sheet. "U" will yellow.
