H-Profile Installation Notes: Short leg faces the sun.-

 

To install the sheet using the H-Profile follow the procedures listed below. It is often best to install side wall sheets first, as the overhang of the roof sheets will get in the way if installing side wall sheets.

1) Select the first sheet to be installed

2) Use 1/4" drill to predrill holes in H-Profile 1" from each end and 12" on-center.

3) Put the H-Profile along the edge that will join with the next sheet.

4) Place the sheet on the frame and get in the correct position.

5) Once in position, attach the H-Profile to the center of the rafter below with our standard screws, that have a 3/4" neoprene backed washer.

6) Attach top and bottom of sheet to frame with screws every 12" on-center. Also, place screws in center of sheet as described in Polycarbonate Positioning and Attachment.

7) Prepare to install the second sheet. Put the predrilled H-Profile along the edge that will join with the next sheet. The upper corner of the sheet (without the H-Profile) gets inserted into the H-Profile that is already attached to the frame. Continue to slide the sheet in until proper positioning is achieved. One may moisten a rag with silicone spray lubricant and wipe the edge only of the sheet (say 1/4") to assist in the sheet sliding in.

8) Set screws as described above and continue until all sheets are installed. Complete the job by installing any U-Profiles, Corner Trim and flashing.
